CLARIN wants to give a boost to its external communication and outreach and has created a job opening for a Communications Officer (0.4 fte)

The CLARIN DSpace (formerly LINDAT DSpace) is a digital repository system meeting the requirements put on a modern, flexible and CLARIN compatible digital repository. Daily, it serves many GBs of linguistic data across different CLARIN centres. By November 2016 it has been deployed in eight CLARIN

 

CLARIN-D, the national CLARIN consortium in Germany, organized a workshop on Language Technology for Digital Humanities (LT4DH) at COLING 2016, which took place in Osaka on 11 December 2016.

We are very pleased to announce that on 1 August 2016 Hungary officially became a member of CLARIN .

 

CLARIN is hiring a System Administrator / Linux engineer (0.6 - 1 FTE). Applications welcome before 21 September 2016. The position has since been filled.

 

CLARIN organized the session "Big Science is not just for Physics" with three excellent showcases at this year's ESOF in Manchester.

CLARIN had a high visibility at the annual conference of the Digital Humanities, which was held 11-16 July 2016 in Kraków. CLARIN was a sponsor of the conference, and ran an exhibition booth to highlight CLARIN activities and meet people, with more than one thousand attendees in total.

 

After two years of preparation, specification and implementation, the task force of CLARIN's centre committee has now made available a new version of CLARIN's metadata framework: CMDI 1.2.
