In 2014 the CLARIN Annual Conference (CAC2014) was held at the Kontakt der Kontinenten conference hotel in Soesterberg, The Netherlands. CAC2014 is organized for the humanities and social sciences community to exchange ideas and experiences on the CLARIN infrastructure. This includes its design and construction, its operation and use, data and services that it contains or should contain, research carried out with the CLARIN infrastructure, the relation of CLARIN to other infrastructures and projects, and the CLARIN Knowledge Sharing Infrastructure.
Selected papers from the CLARIN 2014 Conference
The selected papers from the CLARIN Conference 2014 have been (digitally) published by Linköping University Electronic Press, Linköpings universitet.The conference proceedings in this volume present a selection of the highlights of the CLARIN 2014 Annual Conference in which members of the CLARIN community share their experiences and results.

Participation in this event is by invitation only. If you have been selected to attend the conference, you have received registration information from your national coordinator or the CLARIN office.
How to get there
By airplan
The best way to get to the conference hotel in Soesterberg from Schiphol Airport (AMS) is to take the train to Amersfoort (45 minutes), which runs every 30 minutes. In Amersfoort you can take bus 52 (direction Wijk bij Duurstede) or 56 (direction Driebergen-Zeist) to the conference venue in Soesterberg (bus stop "Kontakt der Kontinenten"). The entire journey will take between 70 and 90 minutes. Please plan your journey in advance using this website. You can buy a single use OV-chipcard at the Schiphol train station using the NS self-service ticket machine. The train journey from Schiphol to Amersfoort costs around €10. Bus tickets can be bought from the bus driver and cost €2.60 for the trip from Amersfoort to the conference hotel.
By bus
If your train stops at Amersfoort, please see the instructions above regarding the bus journey from Amersfoort to the conference hotel. If your train stops at Utrecht Central Station, you can also take bus 52 (direction Amersfoort) to the conference hotel (bus stop "Kontakt der Kontinenten"). Please plan your journey in advance using this website. Bus tickets can be bought from the bus driver and cost €4.20 for the trip from Utrecht to the conference hotel.
