About
Recognizing the challenges that Swiss researchers working with linguistic data face, the CLARIN-CH consortium, in partnership with national research infrastructures such as SWISSUbase/LaRS and LiRI, launches a CLARIN-CH working group (WG) Management of sensitive and personal data: Ethical & legal aspects for linguistic data in Switzerland.
The kick-off event will focus on data collection, protection and preservation and their associated procedures, with respect to different types of linguistic data (e.g., multimodal, historical, experimental, sociolinguistics, data from social media, data from different age groups).

Presentation on Data collection: Dagmar Jung - linguist specialized in the collection of naturalistic data in the field, metadata collection, secure file handling, workflows useful for the archiving process

Presentation on Data protection: Violaine Michel Lange - data scientist, neurolinguist and expert specialized in experimental data and developing NLP pipelines for data protection

Presentation on Data preservation: Thomas Schmidt - computer scientist specialized in the field of methodology and technology for working with audiovisual language data and in computer-assisted lexicography
